Luton Youth Music is about the opportunity of music making for children and young people who mainly live in the Luton area. But people from the surrounding Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire area are very welcome, including Dunstable, Harpenden, Bedford, Ampthill, Hitchin, Leighton Buzzard, Flitwick, Barton le Clay and Stevenage.

People can take part in the Luton Youth Concert Band (LYCB), the Luton Youth Orchestra (LYO), the Luton Youth Jazz Orchestra (LYJO), the Luton Youth Percussion Orchestra (LYPO), the Luton Youth Wind Ensemble (LYWE) and many more music groups organised within Luton Schools or at the two Saturday Morning Music Schools based at Stopsley High and Beechwood Junior.

Other groups include Lutonality, the Luton Youth Gospel Choir, the Luton Youth Junior Choir the Colin Smith Luton Youth Theatre and the Luton Youth Opera.
